You referring to where i placed the nozzle? It's between the MAF sensor and Throttle body on the TRD intake.
So are you still running untuned with the meth and the pulley? do you still have your knocklight set up and have you had/noticed any pinging lately with the meth?
I was lean before the pulley with all my mods. we tested themap ecu2 and still on the lean side much it was much improved. so we then tested the fuel pump upgrade and riched the heck out of it.. now I'm at 10.5 afr and I'm right around my 340 rwhp.
however to answer ur orginal question we (urd GADGET) and I found the ecu adjusted nicely to the pulley. summer days I'm seeing 7psi (before it was 5) on cooler nights @ actually would see 8 for a few seconds.. so I netted about 2 psi. search for my dynos. I think on the dyno I gained like 20 rwhp (stud power) with the pulley and cat back (urd of coarse) ?? I enjoy the extra power and feel its the cheapest hp gain u can get. I don't think everyone will need a tune either.. really depends on the truck.
So you're running the pulley without any tuning? have you noticed any pinging?
my only concern with running that pulley is ever since i took off my maf calibrator, i think i might have a short in my wiring, cause every once in a while i will be driving and all of the sudden the fuel will cut out. and the truck will sit at a high idle. my foot will be to the floor (in neutral) and the truck will be sitting at like 1300 rpm. and the check engine light will go on. Ill shut the truck off, then turn it back on and its perfectly normal again, and the check engine light will stay on for like a day. I took it back to the dealer and all they did was replace the throttle position sensor. it ran well for a while then just did it again, randomly. i really dont want to go back into that wiring harness. that things a pain in the a$$
has anyone else experienced this or something similar?
How tough was the pulley install and what does it involve? i know it needs the special tool, but what else, and approximately how long?
