hey guys, i have received a few pm's on how i did this and after getting one from 06XR-SW, i finally got off my lazy arse and took some more pics for this write up!!

This core support brace is for the TRD S/C owners.. i havent looked at a N/A one yet to see how much of a difference it is..

BEFORE:
(viewing VabchXrunner's Core Support)

AFTER:
(viewing mine)

TOOLS NEEDED:

- phillips head screw driver
-10mm rachet
-hacksaw
-8mm rachet
-duplicolor anti-rust flat black
-50 grit sandpaper/or metal file

(going by memory, its quite easy)

STEP A:

- remove your grille
-now remove your latch cover, the latch itself, and the core support (all use 10mm)

STEP B:
-now look at the bottom of your core support there are 3 (10mm) bolts holding your water pump...remove them
-there should be 2 more bolts remaing (8MM) if i'm correct that lead out to the bumper (you cant miss it)
one is visible and the other is tucked under the bumper...remove them as well

Now that you have the core support off the truck! you will see 2 welds..Look at the pics below to know where to cut..

STEP C:

-
now cut, using your hacksaw just below the weld on the upper portion of the core support, and just above the weld on the lower portion...

STEP D:

-once you are satisfied with your cuts, you 50 grit sandpaper, or a metal file. Just to make it smooth
- and to prevent rust! Spray some Duplicolor anti-rust on..let dry..

The end result should look like this...

I have had no issues with lack of support at the latch or with the water pump..have had this done for a few months now!!!

the TRD on the heat exchanger, is something i did myself...

I dont get it:dontknow::questionmark:

all your doing is removing that vertical bar...too me it was an eye sore, so i removed it...
you cant really see it with the stock grille..but since im recessed...it had to go!!!

to me it just runs smooth without it..

I like how you were able to fit the heat exchanger with the recessed mod grille. very clean  I'm trying to save money for my T/T setup...so hard when all these awesome parts and deals keep coming out... I was thinking of doing a air/air intercooler like the WRX/STI have...make use of that hood scoop:

Tapp: if it fits i will do this type of setup...if so I will paint the radiator black and do the TRD (in red like you did) hopefully with everything black w/recessed grill and red TRD letter hopefully the TRD pops out nicely...just an idea for now

im not to worried about the hood moving , its just try'n to close the dang thing,

what kind of brackets did you use blastap? just like some L brackets or somthing, cause i just got done with the RGM and it looks awesome w/o that brace and id hate to go and have to get a new one.

Thanks
