So Klint for those of us with point and shoot cameras, what would the resolution need to be to be considered hi-res? Im not camera savy so I figured Id ask in this thread since it is pertaining to the calender.

I would think 7 megapixels and up. I got my photo in last year and it was taken with a Canon SD550 7.1mp:top:

I've noticed a couple of you are posting pics in this thread, the pics must be uploaded to the calendar page linked in post #1 in order to be voted on and be eligible for the calendar. :top:

Click on the link in post #1, pretty sure the size parameters are listed on the upload screen. It won't display for me since I've already uploaded my two pics.

how do I make a pic 2mb if it's over?

on my blog i used to use a program called irfanview to resize my photos. you can get it for free at download.com. now that i have vista i just use vista to resize my photos. its quicker and easier.

i really like that red truck in the pics above. that should be in the calendar for sure. i would vote for it!

5MP may be enough. As long as the image is close to 2400 x 1900 at 72dpi you should be okay.

does that mean it went through but to large to show me a thumb pic, or do i need to make it smaller then resubmit it?

You'll need to size it down and resubmit it, as Steven said. If you can't see it - no one else will be able to either and it will be removed from the voting.

That sounds like a pain in the butt..

I've used that program too. Pretty easy to use HL@TBXR - just drop a photo in and click resize. You can also checkout Picasso, that one is REAL EASY to use. Probably 2-3 clicks and you've resized and saved.
