when do you know your TO bearing is sqeaking?

When I push the clutch down sometimes it squeaks going all the way down (from outside of the truck, sounds like its comming from right beside the driver door under the truck) and idling i hear a squeaking sound like rotational-ish if that makes any sense. Goes away when i push in the clutch, hear it sometimes when im driving too.

Also a write-up on how to clean that bad boy would be appreciated :top: or a detailed explanation with a picture or two

That will not fix it:thumpdown: you'd be wastin ur time tryin to clean it. The only option is to buy a new one.
The reason is that that TO bearing is gonna be scuffed up where it rides on the input shaft. The input shaft will also be scuffed up, this is where the noise is coming from.
It gets scuffed up cause when accelerating, the input shaft pulls to the right cause there's nothing supporting the shaft at the clutch end and it puts side load on the TO bearing instead of just a twisting motion:top:

unfortunately, the only options are to get Toyota to replace the TO bearing, bell housing( which includes the input shaft or trans all together:thumpdown:

Wasn't there a clutch option/ GB that came with a TO bearing? Was it aftermarket or Toyota? Thanks.

I don't remember:hmmmm2:
I also don't think there's any problem with the factory TO bearing cause the problem is with the input shaft IMO. I think the Spec clutch's coma ith a TO bearing

Just FYI: But today..

Upon taking my truck in for the second time on this issue, my Service Tech informed me that I would need to leave my truck for more than a day, due to the fact that it's now there SOP to replace the Transmission under warranty when a customer w/6spd trans complains of this issue. The 5spd guys can get trans replaced also on case by case situations.

I don't know how valid this is, just thought I'd share. Had T/O bearing replaced first time under warranty, and now on second incident I get a new transmission:rock:
