Attn: XR-U members

We the staff have slacked up on a number of things recently and one of those has been the strict enforcement of signature size. This is one area that we are going to start enforcing so that we can keep the site clean and legible for ALL members. I'm making a post about this to give any of you that are in violation of the size limits a chance to correct them before they are removed. In about 48 hrs all the signatures that are in violation will begin to be removed without a prior notice. You WILL receive a pm letting you know that the sig has been removed if you are in violation. Again, this is not to try and flex any keyboard muscles at anyone, it's just to keep the forum in a clean and neat order for the majority.

For those of you that don't know the size guidelines:

1. Sigs should be no larger than 100x600 (h x w).
2. Sigs can include up to 1 image AND 1 line of text -- or up to 3 lines of text -- but not both.
3. Sigs with images should have images saved as GIFs (GIFs are smaller filesize).
4. Sigs should not contain any pornographic material.
5. Sigs should not contain any words that are filtered by the site.
6. Sigs should be site or personally relevant.
7. You may not advertise your business, or any business or organization, in your sig unless you are an XRU vendor (click here for more information).
8. Sigs should not be animated.
9. Sigs should be left aligned (not centered or right aligned). This makes reading the forum easier since it is consistent.

Pixels i believe. If you right click on the sig and click "properties" it will bring up some information on it and one of the things it lists is "image dimensions". That's what should be within the 100 x 600 size steven listed.

Yes, yours comes up as 554W and 171H

The width fits, but it's a bit too tall.

For those of you who need to re-size your sigs, I have a couple programs to help you do it easily.

Gimp (free photoshop type program) http://www.gimp.org/downloads/
-paste in your sig
-resize the canvas to 600x100
-resize/crop the pasted layer to fit within the new canvas
-flatten the image :top:

Infranview (basic resizing) - http://www.irfanview.com/
-copy image
-press CTRL-V to paste in the image
-resize/resample image ( set the largest dimesion to either 100 or 600 )

Hope this helps

Just a heads up guys --- I've added the other rules to Steven's first post^^^^; mainly to emphasize Rule #2.

This is another rule that will be enforced.
