There's something to be said about getting blown on 4th of July. There was plenty of celebratory firework.
On a serious note, glad everything went smooth. No major hiccup. My Ingersoll Rand impact gun . . . or as I like to call it, problem solver.

Time to update your mod list brother.

Hahaha....it was quite a memorable 4th of July to be sure brother. I'll be keeping a close eye on the truck for the next week or so. Hope our luck continues. Problem solver was a major win that night.

Yeah, I do need to change up the mod list there. :top:

^ Thanks!

Question to the experts (Gadget): how do I know that the 7th injector is working properly. I wired everything up per the instructions and loaded the F4 tune. Took the truck out for a drive and data logged. I have 2 files that could use an expert to review. Thanks.

Look at this link from Xrunnits how to XTune. It shows what the 7th Inj shows up as.

You can send me the log and I will look at it for you.

You can't tell by the IDC for the 7th injector as a verification it is firing.

What you see on the log is what it is being commanded to do, not what it is actually doing.

You can have it unplugged and the IDC for the 7th injector will be the same.

Congrats bro! I've always seen your post of "I want to be boosted" to being blown on the 4th of July, good thing your hands weren't the one to be blown.

Now its time to re-learn how to drive that monster truck...be cautious on rainy days though, that rear will slip on you (if you have rain in Houston).

^ Thank you!

I do have an issue guys. On at least 3 occaisons since the install, I have smelled fuel in the engine bay. Any advice on how to isolate the problem? I am running the APR 7th. No visible leaks on the braided fuel line or connections. The truck idles fine and I've driven obviously for the past few days.

Check all of your fuel lines. Especially any new add ons to make sure all is tight, and you will find your problem.

Thanks Mark. What about those 4 bolts that secure the throttle body and APR 7th to the manifold? You can see 2 of them next to the TRD clamp.

Have you ran the engine while having your head in the engine bay?

My gess would be where the pressure regulator is cause that was a PITA!!!! I thought for sure if mine leaked that it would be there.

U can always add dye to the fuel and use a UV lite to see where it's leaking:top: I do that at work when I have leaks I can't find, works great!

Yes, and the smell is strongest around that 7th injector but I could just be loopy from the smell.

Good idea

Check that the fuel rail is tightened down and all the injectors are sitting properly. Did you check the o-rings on the injectors?

I would also check the 7th adapter plate.

^ Will do. Coupe took care of the injectors and I'm sure he double checked it all. Easiest thing to check is the adapter plate so that's where I'll start.

Oh, is it safe to drive the truck in this state? Probably a dumb question but just checking.

I wouldnt drive it until you figure out where its leaking from... all it takes is a little gas to hit the header and your in big time trouble...

FYI- I too spelled gas in the cab under hard acceration. I snugged the fuel line to the 7th and it went away. Honestly I did tighten the connection, but just every so much.

Also did you use any pipe dope? Its been said here that gas eats the dope and could cause a leak. I doubt it ate it that fast, but wanted to throw it our there.

What kind of adapter do you have on the fuel rail? you might not have tighten up that 2 small bolts enough.
