You would never reach the limits of the T-56.

The T56 Magnum is rated for 700 ft-lbs of torque.

Man I wish I could do this! Maybe by the next group buy and then forged internals followed by a Snakebite:top:

Be aware. As word has trickled down, there are no more group buys after this one. Period. So if anything, buy the kit, and hold onto it until the time comes that you can get the other parts.

If you miss it, that is it. At least for the T 56 option. Don't miss out. More people means happier people.:-D

Any reasoning as to why this may be the last GB?

Id hate to have $2000 just sitting in a corner until im ready for the swap but that may be the best idea....

For what ever his choice, Allan at APR, decided that this would be the last group buy. It is a very intensive project, so in that respect, and the fact that there are so few willing to purchase, it is fairly easy to see why that is the decision.
Not enough return on investment, most likely.

There are alternatives out there though. If you want a 6 speed manual T56, this is the best option though.
The other options include an automatic Toyota swap, like Sparky's Tacoma did. Or the adapter plate, by LC engineering, for an automatic transmission (American brand, but forgot the name).

I like manuals. I missed the first round, so I am not missing this round. Even if I wait a while to actually install the when kit, i am getting this crucial piece of the puzzle.

Plus, if i remember correctly, buyers were only initially required to put down $500. Then the rest at the end.

Thx for the info Marc. I don't have the money for it so I'll have to pass.

Unrelated to this, but more to your forged internals comment. Paradise racing has Arias Forged pistons for sale for $6-700. That is an awesome price.

The LC adapter can mate up to any GM turbo trans (350, 400, 700r, powerglide) sadly no manual trans option from them. :(

No shame in doing that. Better to have and not need (temporarily) then need and have no chance of getting. :top: It is the same thing I am doing because that day will come, that I need the new transmission. It isn't far off. I just have a list of mods going on right now. Those are pulling at my funds, but this piece definitely takes a priority over the non top tier mods. So having this piece allows me to buy up in stages and not dampen my pocket book, while I work to complete those things as well. For me, it just makes sense, and will make my truck extremely durable.

What are the time frames to send the deposit, then the final payment?

I ask that for everyone.

Also, looks like I am going to be looking for a used T56. Just recently found some awesome deal on having it built. Very good price and here in town. Excited I am.

That's the great thing about the T56. Its common enough and popular enough that lots of shops are familiar with it and rebuild pricing and performance parts are very affordable. :top:

When you order, you need to be sure and tell APR if you are going to use the Magnum. Several parts are different.
