well the good news is that they are actually starting to take orders. so that means whoever is selling the kits for the discounted price must be very confident that it is coming out by the end of october. my only concern is if the dealership will install the kit. down here our dealership provider is "servco" and they are pretty anal about stuff. i can just see them saying, "well we are going to charge you more since it was bought someplace else" OR "im sorry we cant install the kit for you at our dealerships"

Yes we do have quite a few but they are just under the name servco. They will install anything as long as you pay them. But if I bought it I wouldn't let toyota put it on anyway I'd rather save the money then give it to them.

it doesnt matter if they install it or if i install it myself. my only concern is will they honor the warranty if its installed by ourselves....

I was told by my dealer here in order for the warranty to be honored it had to be installed by a dealer

Thats true as far as warranty for the Labor

Parts will have a 1 year warranty or something like that if a dealer doesn't install it.

Only problem with having the dealership install them is that they probably dont know how to. Meaning when they get them in they dont have them do it on a practice one... their basically learning on your truck.

May be wrong, but people these days dont know poop about nothing:hmmmm2:

Yes that is correct or will be for the remaining time on the warranty of the truck if toyota puts it on.

Basically true, they'd just go by the installation guide.

at least the good thing about the dealership fuking up the installation and blowing up your motor is that you'll get a brand spanking new 1GR motor...

If the dealer wants around $700 for labor I'll pay that and keep my warranty. I wouldn't even be interested in the blower if I wasn't able to keep the full factory warranty.
