Yes install from the PCV valve(which is on the drivers side valve cover) to the inlet of the catch can, then from the catch can to the intake most of us run the TTC catch can which is a closed type catch can(filter inside)

But a breather one can be used? or it will ruin the purpose of the system and affect something on the air fuel ratio? I have stock ECU and NA setup, just want to eliminate the skunk buildup on the intake manifold

To keep things simple, no. You cannot run it like you said, with a filter on top. Otherwise your motor will have a huge vacuum leak, and will run like crap.

The set up I previously had was vented to atmosphere.
Both cam covers were run to a jaz catch can with a POS filter on top, the capped the intakes where the lines would normally run to.
Amazing to see how much blow by these things have. Certainly used to work, but being a 4WD which gets used from time to time, I was skeptical as to how clean the system was.
Then I went to a TTC catch can and now it is closed circuit. The PCV runs to the can, the 'passenger' side runs to the intake as per usual.
Theoretically, the closed loop system should give a little bit of vacuum in the crankcase versus the open vented style....vacuum in the crankcase = more power lol

Thanks Jap. I was occupied when i responded, and didn't have time to thoroughly explain like you did.

What else could you possibly be doing whilst typing a post regarding catch cans? :D

Nicely done. That should match quite well.

I recently took the lid off of mine to check it, since the hose is kind of hard to see through. Mine just vents on its own. No vacuum pulling it. Holy smokes, it suprised me when I slid the lid over!!! I will have to post a picture of it!!

Will i need one of these with the S/C??.......Nevermind hence the pic on top.....ay ya yi.....lol....Now to see how exactly it goes on.

I had to pull the blower off recently, to put on new valve covers. This is a pic of my intercooler after 4K miles and using a catch can.

So theoretically this part would be filthy w/o a can?

Not theoretically. Truly. As well as your intake runners, valves, pistons......

Here you can see the "fresh air" filter on the driver side which would normally have a hose connected to the intake. Since my intake "pushes" air before the TB, I would have to have the previously mentioned hose connected to before the turbo. Didn't feel like running a hose that far. The vacuum from the motor will pull air through the filter just fine.

Follow the blue hoses and you can see how they go. You can also see the check valve so that I do boost air into the crank case. It is between the intake manifold and the catch can.

Will this be the same way for a N/A engine? I have a ttc can but it is just sitting here. I have no idea where to run the hosese. Help!!

In the second picture which you quoted of mine, route your hoses, the same as my blue hoses. Don't worry about a check valve for your application. Do NOT mess with the passenger side hose.
