does anybody have a stock exhuast sitting around that i could purchase from them? i blew my custom apart and would like to do a temporary swap until i figure out what i want for a possible supercharger/header/exhuast build later on next year. im not sure if its allowed, but my email is mjoshea12@gmail.com thanks!

ya i don't think shipping would be pretty. look in the for sale thread and see if someone has one or better yet make a new wanted thread for the stock exhaust

sweet! i've thought of getting a gopro but not sure if it would get enough use to justify buying one. you should think about adding another small muffler or the vibrant ultra quiet res to your exhaust. believe me it sounds much better! i couldn't believe the before and after that little res did for my exhaust

2.5" True Dual Exhaust
Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers
NO CATS
Really big (Like 22") muffler (Magnaflow or Borla??)
Maybe a resonator

Input?

And where would I be able to find that piece of the body kit where the exhaust tip sticks out? I want same location as stock but on both sides.

good luck man! that exhaust is gonna cost the same as a supercharger by the time your finished.....just sayin

well with dtlt I'd go a head and cut flange off put v band in place on headers . custom make x pipe in place of y pipe. v bands, 4" flex pipe with two resonators in too x pipe, 2 more sets of v bands. gonna be hard to stuff two big mufflers between drive line and frame. gonna have to go with duel in and duel out muffler. then in back gonna have to work around spare tire. on mine had to drop spare and throw it in the bed. I used 2.5" from manifolds back. glass packs after the x pipe and some big 3" fart cans on the exit. mine still needs some resonators and flex pipe. I'm using the aero turbines resonators. that's just my input.

I have a hook up.. new 2.5" piping all the way back with two magnaflow mufflers + labor = $600

I'm going to install the headers myself with help from a few buddies of course..


Idk if I want to go X or Y pipe?! I'm just gonna have them run all the way back w/o them joining!

Any advice on resonators??

So I would love to at least do a URD 3" exhaust set up but one of the things I am wondering is how much louder it is in the cab with windows up. I want a stronger exhaust sound as well as a little hp gain but taking trips to visit family and driving from SC to NY I don't want to hear a loud drone the whole trip. Or listen to the wife complain about the drone. Like I said I would love to do an exhaust setup. Ultimately a Long tube and URD exhaust. Wondering if I would have to dynamat the truck if I did any kind of exhaust change from stock. If anyone has any videos from inside that cab that would be awesome. Thanks!

if you have the hook up and the guy can do an X-pipe for you thats the way you wanna do it. $600 is just a crazy good deal btw :biggrin:

In my opinion these trucks sound like junk with straight pipe. Also losing the cats will reduce low end power. Sure you will get great high end power but how often are you at high RPM?

What's a good muffler to beef it up a bit but not raspy or ricey.. Just a good easy low tone sound.
