Different tire sizes for oem rims

My buddy is giving me a good deal on a set of brand new 245 45 18's has anyone tried these I feel like they'd look funny if I got them off of him

You should be okay, it's a thinner tire so your wheel gap will be more but I was rocking a 245/45/19 and that wasn't too bad, same size as stock.

245 is a narrower tire. Has nothing to do with wheel gap. They will be fine just slightly stretched on the wheel. Our stock tire is 255/45/18

Your tires will look slightly stretched. Will they work yes. I wouldnt go with a narrower tire if it was me but for you that all depends how good the deal is lol

The 45 I'd a ratio of the tire width the skinny the tire the lower the aspect ratio is the tire is thinner than stock

haha thanks slywitty but what does they will look stretched mean?

Stretched means the tire will look like smaller width than the rim the the sidewall will look like it's at a slight angle.
