Me: Hi everybody!
You: Hi Dr. Whip!
My truck is still being a Whippersnapper. Let's revisit my issues (with the truck not personal) and bring everyone up to speed...
Revisit: Truck was slower at the track with boost than it was with just intake and exhaust. It was the first day of the flash though and I don't agree the added weight was enough to make me slower than stock. Over time it felt to pick up more power. No AFR or fuel pressure gauge to look at anything.
Rough idle at fill up from 1/4 tank of fuel and pending rich codes on both banks. No AFR or fuel pressure gauges.
Noticed some soot one day at a full throttle pass. Still no AFR or fuel pressure gauges.
Current:
I have since installed a URD 2.85" pulley and I can say I'm actually, maybe, a little satisfied with the blower now. It's definitely helped int he power department and my times at the track reflect it. I've noticed the rough idle at fillup happens around winter time. I still get pending rich bank codes but not always. P2196 and P2198 are usually what pop up but never turn into an actual trouble code. I have noticed that my truck will vape at the 1 to 2 shift but I have not verified the color of the smoke. I'm running a good 8psi with the pulley so I don't think I have a boost leak.
0 to 60:
More soot:
Had more soot today and yes the Craperado tried to pass on the freeway but couldn't. Mods are mostly the same (TRD exhaust) but I have changed to an AFE SI intake and the added 2.85" pulley. I know what you are going to say and I still haven't installed and AFR or my fuel pressure gauge. Call it lazy or lack of motivation. I still get bad street mileage even when I drive easy. 13 to 14 is about the norm.
What have I tried? Multiple MAF cleanings, air leak checks, intake swap, different brands of fuel, bypass valve operation check and I have disconnected the EVAP hose before filling the tank. Nothing came out of the EVAP hose when I started the engine.
I'm thinking my fuel pressure regulator may be dead and may have been dead this whole time. Any ideas?
Funny note...I went TRD because I didn't want issues. Fuck me, right?
Edit: My oil and coolant levels are fine.
