This question comes up once a week on the various fb pages. Nobody has on a 2nd gen taco.

i thought there was that one red one that someone did think they were even a member here user name blown bobby or something

Sure there has. Jaxchrisfla posted it up years ago. 4x4 with 2jz swap. Machined the OEM transmission then welded on an adapter to mate to the engine. 6 - 1 header into the turbo.

Yes that's them. The instal would be quite extensive. It would be easier to pull the motor then to try and do it in the truck. It really is not a mod that many people have done due to the cost and labour required.

I still have a set of webcams if anyone wants them.

Setup for n/a or supercharger. Not turbo.

how long and how much for a shop you think?

I could do it in the engine bay. Would have to pull the timing cover. Not the easiest cam installation. Would have to check valve lash and replace the buckets where needed. Then it'd be good to go.

Uh you should be able to do it with cover on.

Use two bungee cords to keep the chain from falling in, or do one side at a time. :top: it's what we do for the cam gear recall on the 2gr.
