So I'm back. Got myself another xrunner and this time I'm gonna do it right. I have one of the nicest 2006 Xrunners out there, Yardies old truck, as a great base to start with. This truck will likely remain a garage queen, but not to the extent yardie had it. lol. She will be driven.
So, I've been out of the game for about 9 years now. So I'm sure a lot has changed. Currently the truck has these mods. (and maybe more just not sure yet, I pick up the truck next week)
TRD S/C
TRD CAI
JBA STH
URD Catback
TRD SS
LS projectors in 09 headlights
LS HID fogs
Sittin Sic coils
SOS blocks
QA1's
Boost/AFR gauge with single pillar pod
TRD seat covers
C2C shift knob

Back in the day the X1 was the tuner of choice. Is that still a thing? Luckily, if it's still a good option I live just outside of New Braunfels where the X1 was manufactured, errr, I think...
What are the pulleys everyone is using these days?
Any other exhaust or intake options I should look into?

Long story short, I'm hoping to get around the 400hp mark. maybe a little more. But nothing crazy that's gonna grenade the engine. I'm eventually planning on T56 swap, but with only 36k on this truck I'll probably wait until the stock trans gives up. Any and all suggestions are welcome, not just on the engine upgrades! Like I said, I'm out of the loop....

anywho, I see lots of new names and some of the oldschool guys here still. I'm looking forward to getting back into the xrunner scene and meeting some new folks on the sub!

Thanks!

OP , forget the X1, I'm guessing you r on reflash. The blower is the same and nothing has changed on it. What has changed is the mods that can be done to them... From my experience what I would do if I was in your shoes is get with Steigemier and do the light weight rotors, direct drive coupler, venom cooler and put on a 2.55 or 2.6 pulley. Forget the porting not really worth it in my opinion and usage from what I seen. The reduce mass from the rotors and direct drive from the couplers you will notice immediately. Def get a 7th injector. Don't bother with a bigger TB because the way the bends r on the intake path of the blower. If u want to get serious with it i would put the TB at the end of both 90* bends that way it's direct to the rotor packs and the mass of air is actually useful which in turn u can put a bigger TB...

I didn't realize that you lived so close to Houston. I always though you were somewhere in the North.....

Anyway, URD headers will make a significant improvement. Smaller pulley of choice when ready. Completed exhaust from URD. Cooler T-stat for certain!

If willing to get really into it, then get thw UCON, as you have the proper year model.

Next we need to talk about upgrading the suspension. ;)

I sold my x when I moved to Alaska. Just moved to canyon lake Texas in December!
Will the urd headers make more power than the jba headers?
What should I change as far as suspension? It does have some suspension stuff already done...
Urd is sold out of the ucon, but that is on the top of the list!
What t-stat do you think I should be looking at?
Like I said b4, I'm out of the loop on what's out there now

The SPEC-U headers will definitely increase power over the JBA shorties. They are a much more efficiently flowing design. There are dynos in the N/A thread as well as on URD's website.

As for the T-stat, just get the one which URD offers. Your engine will thank you regarding to the summer climate in which you live. :top:

Suspension: The coilovers from XII Performance would be the best first start.

It's a spacer that fits between the bottom of the block and the oil pan and a spacer to drop the oil pickup. It effectively makes the sump deeper so that there's a much lower chance of oil starvation in high G turns. Coupe makes them

I'm proud to say, I have one of Coupe's spacers with baffle and I definitely recommend. Also running the 2.825 pulley from URD on the TRD with the TRD reflash and I'm running perfect AFR here in Texas. Also recommend the Walbro fuel pump with that. I also have the URD TCAI to fit with the TRD charger, Jay had to trim a bit of the inner grill. Got the T-stat from URD as well. All works well. I got lots more than that done. You could always check my build page.
