They aid in exhaust gas scavenging. Highly helpful per its design, on N/A or S/C.

If you really don't want that easy 15 RWHP then OK.

Anyway, love to understand where you are coming from on this.
easy? I heard the cam gears are a pain in the ass to install? but it is worth the power N/A no doubt...

They are no pain in the arse. Very simple. As long as the installer can read and comprehend the instructions thoroughly. Then double check the work. Passenger side should only take approximately 30 minutes.

They increase the engine's V.E. regardless of the exhaust.

Exhaust improvements will further complement the cam gears.

I agree with Torspd.

On your cam gears, there will be a mark. I believe it is a circle. I put a dab of paint on the chain that lined up with this mark. I made sure when I put the new gear in, it matched this paint dab.

Running without the cam gears is stupid, but what about running the Apr with out the thermostat? Say you don't have extra coolant at the time, any dangers in not using the 170 thermostat?

Should be OK but all questions for the APR X-1 should be directed to APR.

I can certainly help you out with any questions about the UCON-EMS.

Much appreciated, my question is when can I buy one =P, and when I do would I be able to run the ucon without the t stat?

Also would you be interested in setting up an APR remotely? Or should I try contacting APR? Or should I wait for the ucon ?

All advice greatly appreciated.:adore:

X-1 has been out of production for years....not sure of what APR is doing in terms of support these days. You're pretty much on your own with one of those units if you ask me.

I would say the X-1 disappeared. Apr stopped making them.

APR did several things for me and I always had good luck.

I know others were not so lucky.

Does that apply to all the people with your superchargers that were sold with them? We are just on our own now with no support? Just curious?
