Hey everyone,

XRU has a lot more information/support surrounding on-road performance and power mods than TW so I thought I'd join here too.

I bought a 2015 TRD Sport Prerunner earlier this year after my Silverado SS was stolen out of my driveway:

Truck as I bought it: 26K miles

So far I've replaced the rails with some Nfab ones, pulled the mudflaps, and got some 20x10 Fuel Formula's wrapped in 285/50 Nitto 420s put on.
Outside of the douchey centercap (removed for now, working on a flush TRD replacement) they're actually pretty nice looking imo. No fake beadlock or weird chrome accents..

Anyway my vision is to build it in more of the direction of an XR. I don't offroad at all and I think lifted trucks w/ offroad tires are only justified if it spends more than half it's time offroad...if not it's just incorrectly built for it's purpose despite all the 'high performance' parts? I guess some people like the aesthetics...
Why not just buy an XR instead? Well I'm actually not a very big fan of the bodykit on them (sorry), wanted white, and I really wanted a doublecab. My (larger) Silverado half-cab was still sorta a pain to put people into. I also have a fun 6sp already :)

So! I'm building a sort of 'PreX-Runner'. I want to remain at stock height (would deal w/ a tiny drop of 1" or so max if necessary), I like the ground clearance and it's my daily so I like to be able to mob around and not worry about ground clearance. But other than that, the goal is a total street machine. Suspension first, then power.

Suspension:
I'm currently working on figuring out some suspension setups, but the options are pretty limited for my goals in terms of a coilover/shock setup...(taking suggestions!)
I plan on upgrading to the Hellwig front sway, and I've been trying to contact XII for 2 weeks now regarding their upgraded XR rear sway (I already have the SOS conversion kit waiting here). Lastly I'm looking to install one of yalls X-Braces (if you have one or know of one for sale please contact me!)

Once the suspension is done and I do a few exterior mods like grill/lights/etc. I will be saving for a nice LSD and probably the Magnuson 2.55" setup w/ UCON. But that remains to be sorted out.

For now, you can enjoy pics of my other Toyota while I sort out a build thread for the truck:

Forgive the pics they're not professional nor has the car been really cleaned up for a nice photo-op yet. I had just got the suspension dialed in.

It's a '94 OEM (not a swap) Hardtop Turbo 6speed car in Baltic Blue. Making it one of the rarest and most desired combos. The only thing that would make it more rare by production numbers is a different color. Although only 9 were allegedly made in this combo/setup/color in '94.

Welcome to the Underground and good luck on your project!

For many of your upgrades, look to URD and talk with Gadget:
https://www.urdusa.com/product-category/suspension/lowering-kits/

SOS Performance (aka Tundra Racing) may hepl you as well:
https://sosperformance.com/t/lowering-kit

All the houses around there look alike... I visited my sister-in-law's family out there in the Woodlands (Overland Trace) and the homes around there all looked like the ones in your pictures.

Thanks man! Yeah I talked with Tom (?) at SOS about my suspension goals..he was unsure what to recommend (and eventually didn't) to keep a stock ride height and improve the handling besides sways and bushings. That's my plan so far. Maybe I'll ask Gadget and see what he thinks too though. Appreciate it

Yeah - all the houses look the same here. It's pretty boring. I came from FL and I miss all the spanish-tile roofs. I'm surprised they don't do that here too.
