Very interesting. Ever since I bought my truck I've always noticed that the Intercooler pump will just kick on. Truck's been sitting for 4 hours without the key inserted and I'll come outside to smoke a cig and hear the pump kick on. It will run for about 2 minutes and shut off. I myself, not knowing shit about the system, always thought it a bit strange but hey maybe its supposed to do that. My friend who's helping me with all of this shit is now telling me he noticed it as well and it should not be doing that. I wonder if its jacked up and has never operated correctly.

I've had the same thing happen with my truck regularly over the 5 years that I have owned it. Mentioned the issue to multiple mechanics who seems to think it was a non issue and since I could never replicate the "issue" for them it didn't seem like something they were keen to troubleshoot.

Anyone else have some insight on why it's happening and whether I need to be looking further into it.

My buddy, who's much smarter than me I must add, tells me he thinks its the ECM. Not sure if that means bad pins, bad code, bad wires, Bad Re-flash. I just don't know. I will be posting what we find when we dive into this ECM issue, maybe i'll have an answer then.

Forgive my ignorance...I'm supercharged so do I have an intercooler pump?

It kicks on cuz it’s on the same circuit as ur Evap system. It runs a self check about 4-5 hours after you shut your truck off.

Yup, like Tony said, that's normal. The same thing will happen if you use the "add-a-fuse" option for the "fog light mod". If you leave the button on your fogs will come on in the same interval.

The pump running on its own for a short time every so often is normal.
The ribbon seal under the supper charger is my guess as the source of your lean condition and misfires.
