Loose clutch

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

my trucks clutch is a bit loose and what I mean by loose is when I press on it. There’s a bit of gap before I hit resistance and in the morning when I start my car the clutch will sometimes stay stuck on the down position and have to manually pull it with my foot. but when I keep on driving and the car warms up it seems to go back but due to the space before I hit any resistance, when it goes up and once halfway it just snaps all the way up.

Please help on what I need to do or what can I do to fix the problem. Please.

Yes and it’s full.

I did a google search, it says you might have a bad through out bearing. Maybe its sticking. Failing master for the clutch or failing slave cylinder. I would try and bleed your system first and see if that helps. Look for leaks under your truck.

Do you live in a very cold climate? If not I'd get it looked at.

Aisin cmt-199 is the part number for the clutch master cylinder.
I loosened mine to recreate your original issue Izhr818. I do believe you can adjust yours...after lining up the thread from the cylinder to the nipple that recesses into the top of the clutch pedal.
Mine was dialed in at nearly the end of the plunger thread because I have the hydraulic TOB and the URD Twin Disc Clutch / flywheel combo. That's just where it settled, the factory process of setting it got me nowhere near the recommended 5 1/2".
What sucks for me is I just tried to drive the "X" and the nipple that goes into the top of the clutch pedal is not setting correctly and i can't get into any gear with any adjustments to the stroke length...
I dunno if my clutch pedal is now damaged with the piece free spinning at the top of the pedal. Good luck with yours, I'm ordering parts for mine now... if anyone has any tips on removal, that'd be sweet to know. It looks like it'll be a messy process either way. Thanks

I had mine looked at yesterday by a family owned car shop who seems to be very honest and straight to the point.
he went and looked under the clutch and saw that the ROD that pushes the clutch back up when pressed is not in place (on the clutch side).
he said the part that holds/ secures it to the clutch has come off or broken and also he said I am missing the spring.

For the spring under the dash - McGeorge Toyota or Passport Toyota on ebay would have it. Or if you look them up through their website, just type in clutch pedal and they'll show the exploded view of all the parts you may / or may not need.
