Got a question for you guys about the headlights.
I've been trying to see a good picture of the new 09 black lights, but am unable to find one. I've been to the dealer a couple of times, but keep forgetting to look.
Question 1: Do the black 09's look good? and would they look better then the BHLM mod or purchased once?

Question 2: Does anybody have a good recommendation for purchasing a set from e-bay or anywhere else?

I don't mind doing a little silicone work to seal them up. I don't won't to do the BHLM because I like to keep my stock parts just in case.

The 09's are more like a black chrome, and still very chrome more than black.

You can buy BHLM from EBAY, but some guys have recently been experiencing problems with durability after a year or two with the paint.

You are better off just doing them yourself, using a quality paint, or just keeping them OEM.

do them yourself.

you can be unique and the paint runs less than 10 bucks. you cant really beat that

I did mine when I bought the truck back in Feb 07 and they have never fogged and are holding up great

You beat me to it Steve. I have an 08 but I have the 09 headlights. It depends on the angle really, sometimes they look pretty dark just like the BHLM and other times they look pretty chrome. I know not everyone has issues with the BHLM, I just wanted to avoid taking mine apart.

i hear you man, everyone always keeps saying do it yourself, but i was in the same boat as you where i didnt wanna mess up my stockers. I love knowing i have my OEM set sitting here incase i wanna sell the truck or something. I got the Ebay ones. They work fine as long as you silicone the CRAP out of them allll around the edge's. Don't assume you got it all either, i made that mistake and then had to redo them cause water was getting inside. But its fixed now and it looks great. I only would choose to do it myself if i was completely broke and had no other choice... my 2 cent, ok good talk

It is impossible to mess up the BHLM if you follow the directions.

Which are very easy

I'll be doing the BHLM in the next week or so, i bought a set of headlights to mod. just watch ebay and you'll find a cheap set go. I ended up spending $55 shipped for the pair that i have, Both in excelent shape, one broken tab out of the two lights.

I'll be keeping my stockers JUST IN CASE
