I think they will all develop the groove. It will just depend on time before they show a problem.

Ok so the groove is apparently an issue from what I gather. So if your NST pulley does have a groove is it a bad idea to still run it? Does this happen to all the NST crank pulleys or just a select few?

I gota be honest I've seen a few threads like this and am surprised Mike didn't jump in on it with any info about the groove. :hmmmm2:

Sorry to say it but, mike hasn't said anything because he knows there's an issue. He told me he's never seen this happen before! He's so full of shit!

If anyone has a NST crank pulley that this has happened to, call mike nad tell him u wan a new one or ur money back. U could always wait for Coupe yo get the correct steel sleave and then install it. With the sleeve u should have no more issues......that is unless u are one of the few to get a pulley that isn't balanced correctly and throws ur timing off:thumpdown:

No one likes a liar and to be honest, Mike F'n lied to me straight up and more then once. Not a good way to do business IMO

Alex, glad it worked it out. Was there any scoring with your pulley?
Yes there was...and it was quite deep.. Im gonna have to call mike on Monday and see what he says...i could understand if it had been on for a couple of years or at lot of mile but its only been on for a couple of months and has about 3,000 miles on it and i now have oi spots all over my drive and had to buy a new seal, and replace the oil about 2,000 miles before i shoulda have to have done...plus the riding my bike halfway acroos town in the rain to get the new seal...and riding my bike from home depot with a 4 foot piece of pipe sticking wayyyy out of my backpack:eviltongue:

it was not a fun experience

told ya bud...:top:, no point in busting your nuts to break it loose..

get some sort of engine de-greaser for the oil thats everywhere!! :top:

- i had this same issue with the NST pulley a while ago.. had the same groove...rockin the stock pulley!

Yeah thanks for that...it helped SOOOO much:top:
Me too for right now (which mine had a tiny band of shiny are like the groove on my NST pulley but it wasnt a groove yet...just really shiny)

I have to agree with you on that man. Why sell a product that you know insn't functioning properly - that's just bad business. I mean does he want our shit to break? I think these question's need to be answered cuz if I knew this before hand I seriously doubt I wouldv'e orderd the product in the first place.

I dropped by Coupe's home today to drop off my NST crank pulley. Coupe has some leads on a good solution. Stay tuned folks.

It was a real pleasure meeting you Coupe. Love your garage, your X, and your other rides. :top:

SpaceMonkey?

I think I found a sleeve that will work. I have ordered a couple. I will give a report, once they arrive.

Awesome to hear. I wouldn't mind being a test monkey with this since my pulley allready has the groove. I could pop in someday and we could throw it on. :dontknow:

I've been running mine for almost a year and about 10k miles and no grove or leaking issues. I 've pulled it off twice to to check because of the issues a few people were having. And until something changes i still think its a great product!
