As most of you know I work in parts at a dealership and was looking up a power steering pump for this cadillac and couldnt help but notice a certain part of the vin number... :crinklehair:

Yup...not a big margin to play with, especially compared to domestics:thumpdown:

People don't understand that when they come in here. They want $5k-10k off sticker like Ford and Chevy, but we can't do that.

The only vehicles that have a markup of more then 5k are Sequoias and Land Cruisers.

The Yaris and Scions only have about a 500-700 markup

On a X-Runner, it's $505.00:top:

But keep in mind that a dealer only has holdback IF they got it directly from Toyota. If the vehicle was brought in from another Toyota dealer, they don't get holdback; the original (wholesale) dealer keeps it.

Which is why most dealers will give you a better deal IF the vehicle is 'in-stock'.
