Traded in X, my new 2012 Camaro!

Well, it has been a little over 5 years since I first purchased my X-Runner. I got a significant raise at my job and i wanted to get a new car. So i did some research and i ended up with my new 2012 2LS Camaro in Summit White. i've got big plans for her. This is just the beginning. Aside from all the A-HOLE moderators on this forum ( I am holding on to my gripe about not ever getting Contributor of the month, aside having one the sickest X's in the state of CA and a member since 07 with multiple contributions.), everyone here has been really good to me. So for that thank you. I've joined a new forum Camaro5.com, i will be on that forum more frequently but i will always check back here and say hello. Here are some pictures at the dealer the night i picked her up and some home pictures. I've already blacked out the windows and vinyled the roof. Rims, coil-overs and such will be next. Enjoy.

So is that just a V6? If so don't they have the same POS trans we have in the X?

Yeah i did the research and found out that Yes, chevrolet does in fact put the same Manuel transmission that is in the X , but only on the v6 models. Knowing that i sprung for the automatic which is a $1200 option that is built in the USA. The Trasmission is called GM 6L50, and has been proven and used in such applications as the BMW X3, 1, and 3-Series and in the STS-V. For 2012 the V6 LFX engine is bumped to 328hp w/ paddle shifters (on the correct sides and -/+ format) with rev match downshifts.

lol.... you traded your x for that??? Why not get the V8??? The v6 is probably just as slow as a modded N/A Xrunner....

The camaro v6 has the same tranny as ours.... guess we will see which one is stronger... AND PLEASE GET RID OF THOSE HIDEOUS WHEELS! It looks like GM ran out of money and found those wheels at a junkyard.... I hate those wheels on the maro....

I agree w/ you on the wheels, they look like shit i know. but im not going to pay 3000 extra for the Factory 20's, when i could get some bad ass rims for that price. sorry i know it says traded but i actually sold it private party and got $18,000 for it 39K miles. the SS starts at 31K, thats to much for me. my V6 gets 30mpg though!

Knowing that the same tranny is in the standard camaro i opted the auto.
I paid just under 26k for the car out the door.

congrats homie. im on the way out with my X also. love the truck to death but it cant handle the power i wanna put to it and be reliable without costing an arm and a leg.
