You would have to be going MUCH faster than that to be able to hit 2nd hard enough to spin the tires so they can throw rocks and for you to get a ticket.

if there was loose gravel, dumping it into 2nd would kick the tires loose pretty easy.

how would you like it if someone drove through your workplace and threw rocks at you? The ticket was deserved, only wish they hit you with a bigger fine.

If someone drove through my workplace and threw rocks I'd give them props, I work in a hospital.. now if I drove through there at like 60 then yea I can see spitting rocks and stuff as a dickhead move not to mention speeding but I wasn't ... I prob won't pay the fine it will most likely be dropped...

yea man. wherever theres electricity theres an electrician wiring something up. toll booths. street lights. traffic lights. fiber optics runnin underground. more than youd think.

This is a good read. I'm a union iron worker/ rod buster/welder/journey man and we work with cal trans all the time building bridges, high rises, retro fitting old bridges, etc. we are constantly on or near the road, loading and unloading trucks, working, building new bridges, barrier rails, sound walls, retaining walls etc. just this year 4 or 5 workers were severely injured or killed in construction zones in one month due to negligent drivers They have since passed a zero tolerance law stating slow thru the cone zone, double fines and possible felony charges. I have to agree with dirty the whole way man. Your lucky that's all you got was a ticket and not a hand full of construction workers handing you an ars whooping.

I apologize to everyone here who I offended, I know what I did was terribly terribly wrong , I'm sorry to all the hard working construction workers out there for my horrible driving .. I promise to yous and all future construction zones I pass through I will drive one hundred percent safe and respectfully.. I am willing to take this ticket as a warning in that the next time it could be alot worse on my half and god for bid if something happen to someone else, on there behalf, I'm truly sorry.
