I've done a couple of cosmetic things to the GTO as well as performance. She's coming along, only had her since August.

The Evo mod was already done up when I picked her up.... I need to touch it up. I did paint the hood scoop inserts black with Plasti Dip.... gives it a nice matte appearance.

Also painted the trunk lid panel as well as the tail lights with Plasti Dip.... stuff is awesome btw.

First major performance mod done, Vararam OTR intake. Still need to trim and put the radiator cover back on.

Not pictured is the Lou's Short Stick on the stock shifter, magnaflow X-pipe, polyurethane rear diff bushing.

After I replace one of my tires.... had tire failure on my LR tire... I plan on getting an axle back exhaust :D

Photos taken near Love's Seafood in Richmond Hill, GA.

I can't say I like the way they look but I'm sure the performance is great considering it has an LS engine in it! Bet it will sound good when u put the axle back on

^^^ beleive it or not gas is NOT that bad with big v8 cars, im being serious and I know from experience. I was worried about it for the first 2 months, but I was SCed, tuned and heavly modded in my X and was getting about 15 in city ( I drive hard and fast... life is too short) Now in my charger I get 14 in city 29 Highway (yup that is a correct number it loves the highway) with ac OFF of course with on not even worth mentioning lol.

OP... car is coming along nicely.. very clean. what brand exhaust? and get a tuner after that since you have an open CAI.

I think your smoking crack with the 29 MPG thing brother, id give you a little bit... But the thing is rated 14/20 MPG. You must be hypermiling that that son of a bitch dude haha.

Shit the Mustang gets an advertised 17/26 MPG... I sure don't get 30 MPG out of it lol.

I usually pull around 17-20+ in the city.... as long as I stay out of it. I have had my insta MPG chill at 30 on the interstate..... cruising at 65 tho.

I get better fuel mileage out of the GTO than I did the X. even with 93 oct and an 18 gal tank.

Does yours have the 4 cyl cruising thing? Shuts off 4 of them when not under load.

no cylinder shut off for GTO's^^

look into new suspension, Pedders is a good option. the struts and bushings fail often due to the way they were strapped during shipping from Aus. just look for "strut rub" on the gto forums.

Yea, all 8 always run... plus mine is a 6 speed.

I hear ya about the bushings. I already started, my factory diff bushing was already sagging, put a pedders insert in there... had to use a clamp to pull the stock bushing back centered :(

next will probably be pedders radius rod bushings. I would like to get some new shocks / springs all around. thinking of Lovells springs with some Koni shocks and struts.
