So I figured I wanted to mod the truck and do something not everyone is doing. I looked around and found no kit so I went to the next best thing..... one of my mini truck buddies with a newly opened customization shop with something to prove.

I dont know how he did it and I will take the tailgate apart but in a few days when it goes for paint.

here she is:
First step debadge....didnt think about taking the xrunner emblem off.... I will do this before paint
Second step..... Pray and hand it over :)

That is pretty interesting. Ever think of using a BSP latch, so that it blends in more?

Any shots of the inside? How hard was it for your friend to flip the handle? I'm in the process of having mine shaved, but I haven't figured a way to keep it looking clean without an aftermarket kit.
