I too could not believe what I was reading Monday morning tough news to start the week. I want to express my condolences to the family and those close to him.
John was a straight up guy and will be missed by many.
I was hoping to attend the service but will not be able to make the 500 mile trip but I will be contributing to his memorial fund.

Just a ribbon to wear or for trucks

attachment.php

I encourage everyone to wear one of these or incorporate the colors somehow in honor of John. Thanks for the idea. The flowers that we are sending on behalf of the XRU family will incorporate the same colors in his memory.

I think it would be pretty memorable if someone could lead the xr convoy in John's x.

Word is that his brother has it right now.....but the burial is private, we probably won't be attending.

Just made it home. Hope everyone else made it home safe as well. Emotional couple of days. Thanks to everyone who made it out, it meant a lot to the family. It meant so much in fact that John's mother asked that he wear one of Kim's ribbons.

Kim thank you so much for taking the time to make them and for being strong enough to make sure John had one of his own. It meant a lot to me personally representing our community, and as I've already mentioned to the family.

There's a lot more I'd like to talk about but I'm emotionally drained.

i just found out about this today when i saw some of the members sig's. i was hoping that i would find a thread poking fun at john for finally selling his x...

instead i spent late sat night into sun morning reading about the tragic loss of a fellow xr brother. like many here im in shock. i am however thankful that he helped me over the years on several occasions with tech advice and many a good laughs. in fact i picked my avatar because of him changing his and his s/n. he for sure will be missed...may God bless and comfort his family & friends.

i also would like to say what great bunch of guys and gals we have here at xru...makes me proud to be a member.

It was nice representing XRU at the service and his family seemed very appreciative. The XRU flowers were very nice and ribbons were a great idea. When it warms up a little more in the spring we will have to do a meet/cruise in his name.

Definitely. Should all have a cruise in our local towns on a certain day and time in his honor.

We don't know - and out of respect for John and the family, I'm not asking. The cause in my opinion is irrelevant. What is relevant is that we all lost a good friend and a family lost a husband and father.

Yes the cause is irrelevant, but it is hard sometimes to understand the sudden passing of someone so young.

In total shock, never in a million years would I think I would hear this news. The OG members knew him for awhile. Great man, great father, great friend and awesome members here on XRU.

RIP my XRU brother.........

I know and hope XRU rolls deep when your laid to rest. I hope to make it.

I wanted to stop by to send my thoughts and prayers to John and his family. I only hung out with John a few times, but every time was a blast. I can't add anything that hasn't already been said, but I'm running to donate.

I've been off the site for a while...Thanks D, for keeping posted on this tragic loss to our xru brotherhood.

It was a lovely service..... Emotional day but very nice to be apart of. A blessing to be welcomed by Johns family

G - wish I got that on video it was priceless :)
