Damn... Did this last night finally. Took me and another guy the better part of 6 hours. Getting the driver's side one on was complete hell. By some act of divine intervention they finally dropped in. Got the pass side on really easy. The other problem was the AFR sensors... One was stripped F***. So I had to call up toyota and have them overnight me one. I'll get that tomorrow

I just ordered my DTLT's today and hope to have them for the weekend. I have read the whole thread and no one has answered the question about emissions testing. Will they pass, or do you have to take them off and put the stock back on every year?

It depends on your state and local emissions testing. Sometimes all they do is check for a cel and if one is not present they pass the car, others do a visual/sniffer test in which case you'll need to revert back to the stock set up.

This writeup was pretty neat. Thanks fot the tips and suggestions. I got my headers on and I cannot believe how much better it feels and sounds. The drvier's side was a biotch, but the passenger's side was a walk in the park! Only other issue was the O2 sim. I think I might have been sent the wrong one because the connectors don't match, period. But that's peanuts compared to other things that could have gone wrong. Has anyone noticed the exhaust has a raspy note now, or is it a possible leak?

I just installed mines too the other day and I have the same problem. I even tried putting in the resonator in front of the muffler and it made it softer but when I punch it still get the rasp. Idk how to fix it hopefully some one can chime in and help out to solve this.

Well I dono then. When I had the DTLT on stock y and stock cat back I thought it was really raspy especially when cold. Then I added the 3" catback (still stock y) and I thought it sounded just right.

What version of the DTLT do you have?

Yep thats it, I still have cats in the Y.

Some people have added another muffler inline, maybe that works better then the resonator?

What resonator did you install? Ive heard that the ideal location is right after the y pipe to catback flange on the catback.

I wonder if upgrading to the urd ypipe or should i go back to stock? and maybe change to asecond muffler would wrk? Gadget is running a muffler huh I guess I spending money this week.

It's a 3 in resonator from a local exhaust shop and yes I told them to weld it right after the flange but it just made the exhaust quiter so Im stuck
