So, you didn't do any research on well known/documented problems with this truck before you bought it, and now you're mad about it?

Should have put in the TSK fix from URD while you did throw out bearing. I've had 0 issues with mine and my truck see's a high level of abuse.

I'm on my 5th factory replacement TOB. The day I have to go in there and do it on my own dime it will be with the TSK. Toyota has sucked all the way through on this issue.

I had mine fixed under warranty with the "newley" designed one. Over 15,000 miles with no issues.

The throw out bearing is probably the most well known problem with the newer tacomas. If it was replaced the first time with the upgraded one from URD you wouldn't be having the problem again.

Gentlemen vehicles of all sorts have issues, these are parts made from nearsighted Japanese men. You have got to take time and realize this. Toyota has addressed this issue. They made an automatic transmission lol. Sorry. TSK all the way. I put mine In when I did my clutch and flywheel upgrade. Amazing.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can really do to prevent the throwout bearing chirp. It just shows up one day. If you haven't had yours start chirping by 62k miles, consider yourself extremely lucky lol

I'm right under 50k and haven't had an issue, but I did buy it used in 2011 and she is an 07, so no telling if the previous owner did have it done or not, only time will tell.

Did you use loc-tite on the set screws?

Did you use that bag of shitty grease that came with it, or some good stuff?

So, I'm having the same problem guys. My factory TOB was chirping pretty bad so I odered the kit with sleeve from URD and had toyota replace it since I didn't have the time, equiptment, or know-how to do it myself. Fast forward several months and many trips to Charleston form Nashville later and I'm having the same problem. Seems the sleeve didn't live up to it's expectations. I would hate to have the tranny dropped just to see if it's a set screw or not be able to send parts back if I don't need them. Anyone else have problems with the URD replacement?
