now with removing the body kit, don't u just basically have a lifted Tacoma?
I mean it doesn't look bad, and to each their own. Just seems odd to me to take the xrunner and well take away everything that makes it an xrunner.

Some people like to lift their truck; others like to lower... To each there own; what makes you happy is most important! We should have traded wheel flares man; oh well hope things are well;)

It makes sense if your truck is paid off and don't want to go into another payment and have the capability to lift your truck and that is what your looking for!

Send me a PM for the kit, by the way. ;)

Thanks for the positive comments. The other guys, I guess u just don't understand...

I'm totally stoked with the lift. It allowed me to have a truck that handles better than a pre-runner but has better ground clearance than an X-Runner. This allows me to enjoy my truck on and off the road. I'm not doing any serious wheelin off road but I do like the freedom of continuing my journey once the pavement ends. And yes I love that I was able to enjoy my truck lowered for 8 years and now I get to enjoy it in a new way, it's like having had 2 trucks for the price off one.

FYI the kit is sold and TRON is putting it on his truck. Hope that's coming along good! I never thought the flares would be that different... Are you modifying the kit to fit them? If ur handy with a dremel it shouldn't be too hard, I am not so I would need help there.

How is your gas milage now with the bigger tires? Are you still running the 3.15 rear gears or did you swap out with the 3.73? Looking at doing the exact same setup for pretty much the same reason as you. I can't afford a new truck as mine is paid off and I'm make a car payment on my wife's car. Just way to low to be launching boats and going camping. I'm going to keep the kit on just need the clearance.

Pm sent, sorry for the late response, waiting for baby to get here anyday!

This lift is for normal off road ing, nothing extreme but for camping and hauling stuff it's perfect.

Gas mileage hasn't changed at all cause I went to 16 inch rim with more rubber and air. Still handles like an x-runner cause the struts are the same ones and x brace is still in, just taller now. It's fun speeding up for bumps instead of slowing down.
