This code relates to the heater element portion of the bank 2 sensor 2 oxygen sensor. 90% of the time when you have this malfunction code it is related to the heater element in the O2 sensor itself going bad. Thorough testing of the heater circuit needs to be done because in some rare cases if the element shorts out it can damage the driver in the engine control computer. This is rare but I have seen it happen. The vehicle skid control light or VSC will come on by default whenever the check engine light comes on this is normal. The location of bank two sensor two is after the catalytic converter for the passenger side cylinder bank which is bank two.

What it means is the current in the sensor heater is outside the standard operating range, the ECM interprets this as a malfunction in the sensor heater and sets a DTC.So your ECM has seen the current below 0.3A for Bank 2 Sensor 2(drivers side rear sensor),set code P0057 and goes into fail-safe mode(turns off heater). No probs:top:

You need to replace the O2 sensor.

Speaking of O2 sensors, who makes the OEM sensors for our trucks? Denzo? Bosch?

They are made by Denso and URD stocks all of them.

No, the sim will not fix a problem with an O2 sensor, it only prevents the P-0420/0430 code.
