So I bought my truck with 50,000 miles its a 2008 and I am sitting at 63,000 miles now. My clutch pedal is latterly stuck at the bottom, I can pull it up with my hand but it will go to being stuck at the bottom after one push. I got the truck to move rolling and I was able to put it into second gear in order for it to get to my house. Whats wrong with it man these trans must be terrible:thumbdown:

Sounds like a clutch or clutch pedal assembly problem to me. Did you check your clutch fluid? Clutch cable? If thats alright and the clutch pedal assembly seems good you might want to check the clutch/flywheel/pressure plate. Could be the something to do with the hydraulic clutch system(clutch master cylinder)

Sounds like you have air in the clutch line, or a bad slave/master cylinder.

Did you check the reservoir? It is the front half of the Master cylinder reservoir.

Just in case your not in warranty, it's about 700 to replace the slave master cylinder by Toyota.

Ok so I dropped it off at the dealership just now hopefully ill get it back soon. Yes it is in warranty until 86,000. How it happened I was kind of pulling it last night, I go to shift into 4th when my clutch stays on the ground and the car wont go into gear.

jeez the dealership does not want to cover it through warranty, they say they dont cover the parts that are broken. When I bought the truck I was told that the warranty covered everything but pads. Time to start fighting with these people

I have bumper to bumper warranty on this thing and the service advisor keeps saying that it doesnt cover transmission. I called the place where I bought it and there saying that guys a freaking idiot and there going to call them tommorow and get it settled. As of right now the guy said its clutch assembly ,the slave master cylinder and some "other stuff" with the transmission. He wanted me to pay for dropping my transmission and taking a look at it. I told him no im not paying anything but my 100 deductible too repair my truck hopefully tommorow they will get everything settled. Toyota service is getting worse every year, I dont know a whole lot about cars I still have alot to learn, but man these people make me fell like a certified mechanic !:stupid:

Man anything related to a Toyota warranty is a joke. Prepare to fight them to the death over it. They did the same crap to me, also over a transmission issue while my truck was under warranty. Took it apart, denied the warranty, told me I owed them 1k for labor since they denied it, and after fighting with them for 6 months, with a lawyer, I ended up pulling in there with a flatbed and towing my truck out of the dealership on my own, still with a broken, uninstalled transmission. I don't think it's a coincidence, I think Toyota honestly trains their employees to do this to customers. Their next tactic will be saying that you caused the damage with abuse.

I went in for an oil change, told them I had the squeak, within in minutes they ordered the parts and scheduled my repair in two days. Got my slave cylinder replaced with 2 hours. Guess I have a decent stealership.

Im at 85k miles and i havent had issues with my transmission other than replacing a stock clutch. I did have trouble bleeding the slave cylinder afterwards though. I dont trust dealerships to do their jobs. The dealer here tried its best to screw me out of some warranty work but that didnt fly for long when i raised hell with my warranty paperwork

When the pedal goes to the floor and stays there, 99% of the time it is going to be a hydraulic problem. Master cylinder, slave cylinder, broken line, air in the system etc. Them saying that you might need a new clutch, pressure plate, bearings, and flywheel is bs and they know that. They're trying to screw you around and get you to pay for more than you need
