I have a question about the compatibility between the newer model HU's relative to the older ones. Specifically, I have a 2009 and would like to know if the stock HU's from 2013 and/or 2014 X Runners will play nice with my truck? I imagine the plugs and connectors aren't the same and the bezel is shaped slightly differently, but has anyone already wandered down this rabbit hole and fond any other issues like extra relays or incompatible interfaces? I like the look of the newer units and would like to keep Toyota factory parts in the truck should I ever sell it. (I pray that day never comes) Pictures of the back of the newer head units if anyone has any would be awesome for visual comparison.
