Depends really. They use three or more different types of brakes depending on the track. Short course are beefy but the tracks like talladaga they use a rotor that's less than 13" and just a 4piston caliper and they also have a feature that pulls the pad away from the rotor to allow for less parastatic loss. Plus your prerunner weighs a lot more than a nascar car.

Well what pads and rotors would you recommend for a 16" wheel in a racing application?

Just the rotors is the only way to get them from TRD or your local Toyota dealer. They are two piece and have a replaceable friction ring but you have to get a aftermarket one of those for left or right the rotor hat is not directional.

Seeing how your pre runner already has bigger brakes I would focus on upgrading the pads and rotors and get stainless braided brake lines. That will help your stopping power quite a bit.

Where to get brake lines like that?

You can buy them online. I used to have the part number for the SS lines. I think Gilberto from performance brakes unlimited could hook you up with just the lines as well.
