I don't know too much about Skyline sedans but it was a legit right hand drive car. I believe they had an RB25DET but I'm not sure. Anyway I notice someone pulling up on the right with ricer lights (HIDs in reflective housings). Dude was driving like a dick swerving around in traffic. Before he passed I put my foot down to keep the car from passing. I held the lead but I could see he was slowly crawling up. We line up at the light so I pop it in 4wd just in case. Well he's revving so I knew he wanted to go. Torque brake launch and I obliterate him off the start and put some good distance between us but he's creeping up. There wasn't much distance between lights to keep going and I shut down at about 60 anyway. We line up to go again but there was a cop so everyone was nice.

Again I don't know anything about the car. I heard a turbo but he wasn't launching as hard as I thought he would. Maybe it was a rear drive? He won't soon forget the whining Tacoma that held it's own.

Haha! He wasn't pulling too hard though be he would have eventually passed. I bet we would be even if I had my pulley on.

I was pulling on a new V6 Camaro auto the same way. Had I taken him on the launch, he would have never caught up.

Yeah i played with a golf gti a few days later, that made me feel better.

Surprisingly i didnt notice much extra thrust with the 2.825 pulley, just more responsiveness. The spec u headers on the other hand, i could feel the difference.

I usually pick my battles, but from a stop, i try to challenge anything i can.

It's slow overall in stock form but quick when it comes to a Tacoma. I just posted a story about it because I wanted to???

How's the project RT (Ricer Taco) coming along?

I must've thought it was another Nissan car, its good.... Waiting on my refund check so I can buy my suspension and headers...

Definitely wasn't a GTR. In stock trim, it would have blown the doors off of your truck. GTST. That's what it was. Hands down.

Is that an RB25DET rear drive? It was an R34 generation.

I knew it wasn't a GTR but those aren't that fast in stock form either. I blew a stock R34's doors off with my FD. All I had was intake and exhaust.

chances are it was an rb20det. Gtr in stock form are very quick. the R32 runs 13.7 stock and the r34 run 12.7 stock 0-60 in 4.7 sec. You did not run a gtr

funny to see this thread after looking for a skyline lol...

i almost pulled the trigger on a really nice looking modded r32 in blue, but kept wondering why it was so darn cheap...then i noticed it had 4 doors

anyway, my wife wont let me get one unless i get rid of one of my two fd's or my supra first.

Hey blu, how much for that fd ol' boy?

i dont want to muck up this thread, but since you asked...

im gonna sell one of them to fund an r32 or put more into my supra. the one in my sig is the twin turbo 5 speed w/ a low mileage jdm motor professionally installed. im selling for 19k.

while i was having that one done i ran across my other 93 big single turbo widebody. professionally build by a highly respected rx7 shop...selling it for 29k. here are pics of it.

Very nice rides. I miss my 93 touring 5 speed. I got it before the price hike in 2002. I only had intake and exhaust on it because I didn't have too much money but I had to sell it because I quit my job at Albersons during the strike. It needed a front cover gasket (again despite Mazdatrix fixing it) and it needed a 5th gear synchro. Also the seats needed love and slight damage to the driver side rear.
