Installed for a friend. 2013 4x4 TRD Sport Tacoma. Install was a pain! No instructions. Transmission crossmember needed to be removed to remove the stock Y-pipe. Steering shaft needed to be separated to install the driver's side header. You need to be careful not to turn the steering wheel when the steering shaft is disconnected or you will damage the spiral cable. Air injection studs needed to be removed to remove stock exhaust manifold. You also need to remove the stock upper studs in the head and install shorter ones provided. Special external Torx sockets are needed. All the nuts for the headers were difficult to install because of the tangled tubes. Tightening them was even worse. Thorley long tubes are way easier to install. Don't want to install these ever again.

They are much much easier to install on a X. Only need to unbolt the passenger motor mount and jack up that side of the motor to get the passenger header on and the driver side only need to take the steering stem off. No need to pull the cross member off if you manipulate it just right at least for me.

I'll stick to installing DTLTs on the 4x4s. I almost threw in the towel on this install. Most difficult header install I've ever done haha.

Sounds good.

Are you saying you did not get install instructions with the headers?

We have shipped instruction for the 12+ versions since we had been shipping them. The very first few may of gone out without instructions.

Just finished the Pre- 12 version instructions and those will be shipping with new orders.

Yeah it didn't come with instructions. I think there would have been a lot less swearing if there were instructions haha. Satisfied with the outcome but damn it was a lot of work...

Yup, took me 7 hours with air tools to install the headers and full exhaust with no instructions. I'm also an ASE certified technician. My hands and entire body are sore. I wouldn't wish this install on my worst enemy haha.

Mine will be here Wednesday. I might give it a go this weekend.

Remember what size E socket you needed?

This is what I did. Made the install much much easier.

I wanna see what the instructions look like for the 2012+ Tacomas with air injection. Too late for me now but i'm sure there are tips that woulda saved me some time and headache.

URD has two versions on now, will be three very soon.

For the Tacoma we have the 05-11 and then the 12-15 version with the air injection system.

Yes, the air injection system does make things a bit more difficult, but it is not a show stopper.
