Ive purchase two rifle from the gun store in Stockton and they gave me someone else rifle.

this is what I wrote to them and found out

me: I was in there picking up my century arms ras ak47 and its still sitting on the display for people to play with. This is not the first time it happened. It happened a month back when I picked up my ar also.

them: Sorry to hear about this Sir but your rifle was not out all week for people to man handle. We have sold at least 4 of those in the past two weeks.

We had just replaced one we had sold the day before with the one that was on the wall we had used yesterday for your delivery. There was a mix up in the serial numbers with yours and we had to use the one that was not sold yet for your delivery.

Sorry for the confusion. If you come in we will give you 40 rounds of 7.72X39 to help break in your new weapon.

Thanks and please feel free to contact us with any questions.

me: now that you mention that. I was curios and checked both my paper work on my ar and ak , the serials don't match

still waiting for response

Are they wrong on the 4473s or the receipts? Or both?

Generally the 4473s never leave the shop. So in the real world the likelihood of that being a problem is very small.

However you live in CA, and CA is so incredibly disconnected from the real world that I'm not sure what to tell you. Maybe someone local will have insight.

I bought that same one. I was planning this weekend to break it in at the range.

Don't buy your guns. Build them. Then you don't need serial numbers
