It was only a mere 3 years of waiting......

Speaking hole shot, I sometimes think about getting a lower gear set in my trans. Instead of a 2.66 1st gear, something which would get me moving off of the line with a little more ease. For now, it is good though.

As of Monday, I am on the 2nd oil fill. Giving the engine some skinny pedal love, it has definitely become more resonsive and powerful. How much so, I don't yet know.

I also adjusted the fuel pressure down a little because it was pegging the AFR gauge at 10:1, which means that it was in the 9's. Now it hovers around 11:1, and that as well made a noticeable difference.

Not much to update on. Truck runs great. Still N/A. Preparing for a track day this weekend.

Did a couple little mods.

Laced up my high tops.

Installed an APR driver side mirror. Need some more hardware to do the passenger side.

I hope there is more in the works for those mirrors. They look cool and all, but really not digging the mount job you had to do on them.

Stop messing with mirrors and strap the turbo back on the biatch already. :adore:

Definitely more in the works for the mirrors. That is why I only did one for the time being. I currently have convex lenses in place of the OEM flat ones. Which is very nice. However, there is still a blind spot caused by the large size. Makes it a little trickier when placing the truck.

I believe the lowered seating position from my Cobra seat contributes.

So this was a temporary mounting, so see how it fit, the visibility, and a little driving acclimation prior to a track day. I prefered it much more over the stock mirror. All around. Track day and regular driving. It is a convex lense as well, with blue antiglare.

You can get a 2.9 1st in the t56. Could also regear the truck too. Lower final drive will go a long ways.

Yeah. I've been debating that gear ratio or the 2.7x first. As well as a lower 6th gear. Something higher numerically than the .50. Maybe a 4.10 rear, but I like the 3.73. I have some heavy duty engine mounts being fabricated right now, with poly isolation, and am hoping that it will help alleviate some flexing between the engine and trans. Due the rubber engine mounts allowing a lot of flex, while the poly trans mount does not. At 550+ wtq, there are some strange vibrations. I need to get those on, and see how it affects the harmonics and flexing between the two units.

Making all things equal.

If that doesn't correct it, then it means the trans needs a refresh. Which would then lead to different gears......"As the World Turns".....

Does every thing I need, and smaller than my IPhone 6S. Love it.

Hi Mark, been busy with another project and not checked on your thread in a while. Still no Dyno numbers? Are you still running N/A, or did you throw the Turbo in already?

Hey Iniazy. Still running N/A. I've been sharing my attention with my Subaru, to get it back into some great shape, before I make some large purchases to put the truck back under the fabrication knife.

I just have not had the chance to get the truck dyno'd on a DynoJet yet, to compare with the Mustang Dyno. Since my clutch has been slipping for about a month now, it will just have to wait until I get that fixed. It has been super hectic since I last saw you.

The Subi will be in tip top shape this evening, and then I can revert focus and energy back into the truck.

Sounds hectic.

Same here, I thought I was almost done with my Toyota, and started directing my attention to finishing off my samurai and installing the Cosworth supercharger on my Miata, but with the Toyota engine going south I need to focus again on replacing the engine.

And now my new project shows up. Restoring a 1987 Honda magna cruiser bike. I seem to have a hole in my pocket. Some reason I'm unable to save any money. Can't understand why.

Keep us posted.

I have one main quest. Side quests keep popping up and creating more story paths. Such as in keeping the Subi DD running.

The head gaskets finally failed, completely, at 265k miles. All of the previous owner's radiator stop leak must have just given way. That stuff was everywhere.

Check out these plugs, after almost 100k miles. Both banks looked the exact same. Weird how it kept running.

All back together now.
