Hey guys/girls, just a little up date on the truck. I switched to some Hella light bulbs and my light dispersion pattern looks pretty identical to justin's above. Much better. Literally night and day difference haha.

Had a hiccup with the truck today though.

Went to start up the truck as usual and the key went all the way in and wouldn't budge at all in the ignition housing. I could take it in and out easily and seemed a little sloppy in the ignition housing. At first I thought it was my alarm system ****ing up but I tried a few things and determined it wasn't the alarm. I searched it up on my phone and found a forum saying to wiggle the steering wheel while trying to turn the key and it worked. My question is, is it the stock key that is wearing out or was it just a freak occurrence? I have 50K miles on my truck so I find it hard to believe that my key is wearing out. The very end of the key does look slightly worn and rounded though. Anyone else have this issue and or what should I do about it? I tried it again tonight and the key worked fine right off the bat. I am going to grab my second key that I haven't used this weekend too.

Thanks

Its normal. Brand new cars will do that. My VERY first day ownership it happened and scared the shit out of me. Lol. If has to do with the ign. Lock getting w jammed due to the wheel being "loaded up" like against a curb or something. It can happen at random, but jiggle and turn will undo it.

you coulda just locked the steering wheel. this happens when you move the steering wheel too much after the key has been removed

Thanks Kev. I was literally on a flat parking lot with no wheel turn too haha. Must just have been a random occurrence that it happened to me. Good to know the fix is easy, I was thinking there is no way I could have worn out a key in 50k miles.

It wasn't locked when I tried it first. I did yank on the steering wheel out of frustration when I couldn't get the key turned and then it locked. I just read on another forum to jiggle the steering wheel while turning the key and it turned like normal haha. Its the first time its ever happened to me and scared the shit out of me. Glad it wasn't my alarm or a worn key though haha.

Haven't been on here for awhile but I haven't changed much with my truck. Finally got rid of the old tires and got some Michelin Super Sports in 255/40/19 front and 285/35/19 rears. Day and night difference in handling now with these tires... and looks better too. Here a couple quick iPhone pics.

Truck threw a few engine codes today... They were

P0441 - Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
P0455 - Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (Gross Leak)

I checked under the hood and couldn't see any thing that looked out of place. The truck has been running great without a hiccup and pretty much daily driven for the past 3 months. Haven't changed any mods or done anything at all to the truck when it threw these codes. I cleared them yesterday and they came back today too.

Thanks

EDIT******

After searching the forums it came up with gas cap. Went and checked and my aftermarket lockable gas cap had broken and no longer was sealing. Guess the X hasn't had a hiccup at all.

And Wilson is still alive :)

Glad it was nothing

I lost one of my pulleys on my supercharger and it ate away at the part that connects my oil filter to the engine.

Could anyone help me find the part numbers for the supercharger pulley and the other part?

Thanks

Edit

So I think I am looking for the smooth idler pulley which is part number ACDELCO 36173 {#19194197} Professional or GATES 36173 DriveAlign Premium OE Pulley
and the oil filter housing which is part number 1567131040

Can someone please confirm this

You can take that pulley part number and see if it cross references to Gates. If it does, take the Gates number to NAPA and get it from them. You will have it the next day.

That oil filter housing, I should have a spare around here if you want it.

I don't know where that pulley went! It must of came off when I was driving. I actually need to replace the whole pulley now and not just the bearing.

I might take you up on that offer G. I have to leave monday so if the local dealerships don't have one in stock I'll buy it off of you.

Ouch. What signaled you to the problem? Oil stain, or smoke?
