So I'm looking for opinions on oil extractors. Do you like using them? Do they get all the oil? If yes which one might you recommend. I'm sick of paying to use a lift and think, if effective, one of these would be worth the investment.

Pay to use a lift???? Do you not have a jack? lol jack up one side of the truck. Spin drain plug out. Slide pan under to catch oil. Let Truck down. Swap out filter. Let oil drain. Jack truck back up. Put plug back in. Fill with oil and done.easy peasy. Sounds to me you just don't like getting your hands dirty lmao

But in all seriousness. I wouldn't use an extractor. No it won't get all the oil out. And also any sediment or junk that may be in the bottom of the pan won't come out either.

The bottom pan on the Tacoma is ribbed you cannot get all the oil out.
I have the mityvac Mv7400 it works great. Got it on amazon. I get more oil out of most vehicles than if I drain them. Yes I said more. Proof is when I drain one it drips forever if I evacuate it then Pull the drain plug it won't even drip once.

Never hear of this before.

I always just crawl under there and pull the plug. I have never changed my oil on a lift or even jack (same for the wife's Corolla). I have recently started using home made 2x12 ramps now that I have garage storage space for them, and only because its easier to get a drain pan under it.

Interested to see how this goes, as it looks like it could be less messy.
