Hi, I know this is a xrunner forum but you guys have more experience with FI basically on the same motor. Ok so I installed the magnuson SC on my FJ. I have the URD 2.85 red pulley, AFE CAI and MBRP Exhaust. I installed my O2 wideband after the cats and typically read 14.9 at idle which is .2 to .4 off due to being down stream but I am currently ok with that. I used the bully dog tune which was a mistake after some research haha
Here is my problem. My AFR reads 14.9 at idle and slight load/throttle up until I get into boost then it goes higher all the way to 16 I have seen. If I apply more load/throttle is drops instantly down to 11's and hauls butt. Now I think what is happening is that I am in closed loop even though there is boost, only goes open loop when I have a higher load/throttle then the AFR drops. I did purchase an AFR Calibrator to try and fix this problem but feel this is just a band aid as Gadget and others have said with the TRD flash they go into open loop anytime there is boost.
Opinions and suggestions are welcome.
