I am not selling anything I just put a kit together for my truck and thought I would share the info. I am still waiting on the brackets hopefully I will have them by this weekend to test fit everything and make a brake line bracket.

Awesome man ! pretty stoked to see how these perform - i'm djm 3" lowered on the front and need to do something to get rid of the stock springs
I made my order last night and they sent me a email saying that they’re gonna wait until you received yours to make sure they fit.

I did not tell them to hold off as I am pretty sure they will fit. But I would wait for confirmation on fitment before you order.

Brackets arrived today.

IMG_2299.jpeg

I did grind the welds flat on the back of the bracket.

I also reamed the holes out on the bracket. This was not necessary but I wanted to use one size bigger bolts. The holes were 3/8 and would of worked just fine. But this allowed me to slip it over the stock bracket to show it is a perfect match on the bolt pattern.

there is about a 1/2 in between the top shock mount and the bracket. This could of been reduced to 1/4, this would in turn have given a 1/4' more drop.

I am going to try and make some time this weekend for the fitment but I have some family over and might not have time.

Installed height. I only had time to test on one side so the sway bar maybe holding the truck up a little. I am getting 1.75" of drop at the lowest setting. With a modification to the upper bracket like mentioned in the previous post 2" could be achieved.

Brake line bracket, the bracket is made so it can be used on both sides.

This is at full lock and full sag this is as close as the brake line will ever get to the caliper. At ride height there is significantly more room for the line even at full lock.

Fully assembled photos with correct hardware and brake line bracket. Photos are at ride height.

Brackets fit perfectly there could be some slight modification to the shock mounting hole distance, it could be 3/8 closer to give a full 2" drop.

Anything more than a 2" drop puts the ball joints at a pretty mean angle. To counter this I have a set of DJM arms that I will have re-powdercoated and installed.

I am not sure what XII does with the lower mount bolt, but the factory bolt is 14mm so a 9/16 sleeve is needed from QA1 part number SLV750 this kit is $13 and includes 2 9/16 sleeves. I just through the 1/2" sleeve on the lathe and bored it out to 14mm to fit. also even with the correct sleeve I am thinking about running the inverted as you can see front the pictures the shock bottom only has about 3/32" clearance. I read others having problems with the lower mount hitting the coilover, so inverted would give ample clearance and put the dampening adjuster and height adjuster at the top.

The brake line bracket was easy to make but the hole to mount it needs to be 9/16" which is not that common for most drill bit sets. I actually don't have one but I used an end mil on the Mill to drill it out.

For the height I might order some 10" springs to make up for the lost height, this will give me more adjustability. But I am also thinking about re-installing the complete front DJM kit with the coilovers and running them at Stock height.

Overall I am pretty happy with the setup and fit so far, I plan on dropping everything off to the powdercoaters on Monday so it will be about 2 weeks till everything is done.

Arcenik,
Please don't take this wrong but those welds don't look good. Maybe the manufacturer can send them out to be professionally welded or sell them not welded at all?
I am not saying the welds didn't penetrate or are not strong but they just don't look good. I am happy to see someone coming up with an alternate. Can you find out about the brackets or provide a contact for us?

Great progress! Thank you for sharing.

I have seen nicer welds, and I did inspect them when I got them and they did penetrate and will more than serve its purpose. The good thing is it was welded on the back side of the bracket. The way the bracket is designed there should not be much stress on the welds.

If anyone else purchases brackets they can request to have the hole moved up 3/8 of an inch, as I already had mine I was not going to order new ones. You could also possibly ask to order them un-welded its up to you. I am just trying to give everyone a second option. I was also trying to find a way to reuse the stock upper mount by ordering a spring with a upper ID of 4.1 and lower ID of 2.5 which QA1 offers, but 4.1 might be a little small to reuse the stock upper mount, still looking into this.

I unfortunately canceled the order on the 10in springs because they were backordered. But I think once I get two sides on so the sway bar is not holding the truck up I will get more drop out of them.

Currently I am just waiting for parts from the Powdercoated and looking for replacement bushings for the DJM kit. I am still thinking about using the DJM and running the coilovers at stock height.

Really pleased to see this option becoming available to the community. When you're ready to hit me up so we can get you set up as a Vendor.

Thank you for sharing all of this information. I really appreciate your work on this and I am very happy to see another member contributing.
Let me know how I can help. I may reach out to the vendor to see if they can sell them not welded. Can you provide a drawing or sketch of what changes you are proposing?
Thank you again Arcenik!

This is the only change I would make. It would give about 3/8-1/2 of an inch more drop.
