I would love to do this if the oil cooler assembly wasn't so expensive. Good luck!

Well, how did it go? I did mine a few years back. On one with a TRD super charger the water manifold has spacers in it so you have to transfer them to the new one.

I misplaced the oil extender nut and missed out the whole day. I'm also installing a oil sandwich plate for my oil pressure & temp gauge. Now a friend told me to upgrade the rad as well... so debating if I should stall and wait for parts to fly in or just install as is.

What a day....

Got oil cooler installed but has left me frustrated with oil adapter sandwich I got from URD. I've installed it 3X now today being its last time being installed. First time, I installed it, the rubber seal got pinched and oil gushed out from the side which was my fault for install it too quickly. Second time, I decided to put gasket maker on it and had it cure for more than 24hrs, still came out. So I had gadget mail me another gasket and this time carefully installed checking for any pinches and torquing it to reasonable fit but still managed to leak. I've just about had it. I've ordered another adapter coming tomorrow and hope I can get my oil temp sensor working again. Here's the video after install and running around the block. For now, I've taken the adapter off and oil cooler functioning just fine.

Install itself wasn't so bad. Followed the instructions posted on FJforums link and got it done. Helps when you gots a bud helping ya or it can take a while. Only kinda difficult parts were taking off/reinstall the fan but other that it good.

Sorry to hear this isn't going well. I was wondering if the old housing couldn't just be drilled and tapped to accept the coolant lines to the oil cooler sandwich? That would cut cost way down on this mod. Anybody know?

Seems like the center bolt is too long and threads bottom out before it squeezed the gasket. Maybe two gaskets or shorten bolt.
