I'd be all about it if it looked more factory.....just looks completely out of place IMO. I'm only running the 2.825 so I'm not as concerned with the belt slipping though.
In post #134 it’s all painted black which looks sleek and from factory. I like the shiney bling under my hood lol. It’s a stainless steel bracket this kit only costs $100

I'm talking about the pulley itself. It doesn't match any of the other pulleys in the system. I figured the parts could be paint matched.

I see.. form>function
Hopefully it’ll help the belt last longer I just put in a new belt to test it out

You should go down in size and get the quick change pulley 2.7 2.6 2.5. Alot of people on tacomaworld are running it on the TRD reflash

Just because they're running it doesn't mean it's safe. I've got 202K miles on my rig. Until I've got another daily, the truck isn't going to be pushed more than that.

I daily my truck with the 2.7 pulley but did tune it myself with the maf cal. Everybody knows here in Hawaii I drive my truck hard as well.

IMO I wouldn’t run anything smaller then a 2.7 pulley if you street race and do long runs unless you are running some way to cool down the temps not sure of the idea of the 7th injector just spraying heated fuel in the intake maybe nitrous injected lol

I’m running 2.6 with trd tune and fpr mod. Afrs are 10.7-11.3 rich enough for me
It’s not about having enough fuel my bro. It’s about keeping the supercharger in its efficiency... a guy with 2.55 and uconn only making 8 more whp at a higher redline as well with about 2 pounds more boost. The supercharger is just creating more heat than power. He made tons of torque down low in which the supercharger isn’t spinning out of its efficiency until higher rpms. Like I said I wouldn’t go lower then 2.7 if you do long pulls on the freeway that requires to stay on higher rpms unless you cool down the temps maybe with meth injection. But I would say if you just wanna tow with the truck 2.55 would be nice staying low to mid range rpms.

Finally got around to install the rear tow hook. Had to weld in a bracket to make it legit. I’ve used my truck to tow a civic hatch back, 2 integras, and a civic sedan lol
