How long do they normally last on X-Runners with stock wheels and no spacers? Do X-Runners and Pre-Runners use the same front wheel bearings & hubs?

When it's time to replace them, what brands are preferred?

I plan to buy a hub/bearing assembly to make the replacement as easy and as quick as possible.

Wish Toyota would offer that option, but they only sell individual parts. You have to find a hydraulic press to put everything together using OEM parts.

I don't have an issue yet, but want to be prepared to pull the trigger on replacement parts when they are required...

I've always had a good experience with Moog products.

Also, open up a couple web pages on Autozone or Rockauto, compare them side by side to see if the part numbers are the same for all 2WD Toyota trucks in our generation.

That was going to be my "fall back plan" if no one knew if they were the same.

Still wonder if anyone has changed a wheel bearing on a X-Runner...

Thanks for the offer. I might take you up on some assistance in the future. My wheel bearings are fine now, but since I'm at 90K miles, was trying to get a (parts purchase) plan in place for future problems. Replacement is super easy if you buy the hub/bearing parts combo. It only starts to get difficult if you have to find a press.

Read about wheel bearing replacements on TW, so I guess that's just making me paranoid...lol

Anyone wanting to switch over to 6 lug or 5 etc. You can get the whole assembly pretty inexpensive . The rear axel does require a press to switch over. I've personally replaced my front bearings and assemblies about 3 times now with over 200k miles. 2.5" lift, 35's, 3.5 offset. Yeah. A mess. We are rough with ours though.

10% use the code in the thread from TW https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rockauto-discount-code-introduction.86042/

Just curious, but are you running spacers for your wheels? 3 sets of wheel bearings in 200K miles sounds a little excessive.
