It's time for some new tires. I have the Nitto NT555.
I see they have a gen 2 version of that tire. They hook awesome. Off the line like a rocket, but they are worthless in the rain. Almost a little scary. I was thinking of the Pilot Sport A/S3 Plus, the Bridgestone Potenza S4 Pole Positions, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar. I don't want to sacrifice to much of that sticky launch tire, but I need a little traction in the rain. Any suggestions? Have any of you tried any of these?

I'm also looking at a new set of tires and those were the same ones I was looking at too.

I've also looked at the Pilot Sport 4S. I'll be interested in what everyone here has to say.

Have you checked the Firestone Indy500's ? They have that sticky feel you need, and I have zero issues in the rain. Now what I don't know yet is how long they will last. I only have about 3k miles on them currently and don't drive my truck every week.

I've never noticed the issue you describe in the rain. I've run 555s and the 555 G2s since I got my "new" wheels in 09.

Don't get the Bridgestone Potenza S4 Pole Positions I had them their grip was alright I would say the original oem potenzas felt and griped better. I will say this though Bridgestone Potenza S4 Pole Positions grip really great when it rains thats where these tires shine but I personally don't like driving when it rains.

I'm going to take a hard look at them now. I don't care how long they last. I don't drive my truck every week either. I drive it hard when I do. You have peaked my interest.

I envy you. I love the 555s on a hot day. But in the rain I can't out run a bicycle. My tires will not grab.

I don't see the draw back here. I don't like driving in the rain either. Still got to do it. I'm in Arizona and the roads get really slick when it rains. You have just about sold me on these. How do they grab off the line?

Off the line i would say they are similar to stock its in the rain where the s04 shine they grip alot better but don't expect it to be like its dry either.

I finally decided to go with Michelin
Pilot Sport 4S. They aren't cheap, I hope they are good tires. I haven't gotten them yet. Ordered them from Discount Tire.

I went with the Pilot Sport A/S3 in 2019, and I've been happy with them. They were sold by Costco. I've been disappointed with my last two sets of Bridgestones, so I wanted a change.

Just checked Costco's website, and they no longer sell the A/S3. They now sell the Pilot Sport 4S and Pilot Sport All Season 4.

I like Costco they have good practices. Hand start lugs & torqued to specs. I think 4S is the new version. I'm glad that you like them. They seem to be a good tire. I'm going to put them to the test.

I bought the "all season" version of the tires, just in case I need to drive during "winter" conditions. Since I have a TSX (which is FWD) for bad weather driving, I may put summer tires on my X the next time.

I have been hard on the Michelin's and I love them! They launch hard. Lots of grip, off the line and laterally too. I still haven't tested them in the rain. So I will see. I don't expect them to be all season but maybe just a little better than the NT555's.

I've got to get some new summer tires next year, so I think that the 4S are going to be the ones. Thanks for the update.

Glad the tires are working out for you. I was interested in what people thought of some of these. I've run Michelin Pilot Power 2CT on my CBR, so wanted to know what their truck/street tires were like. Don't need tires for awhile, but it's nice to see feed back on some.
