I do plan to keep 4wd. Mine's an off road rig. I figure I can clear into the cab easy enough for the trans and Tcase if I need to, I can't really move the diff lower though, not without messing up the front suspension geometry anyway. That was why I was optj g for the L92. It came off the 4wd...- BradyT88

Is there a lot of room in there for that LS2? I was thinking about doing an L92 (basically an LS3) with the 6L80 trans since my 1GR may be dead... I've got a 6 lug 4x4 so I may have some extra fitment issues...- BradyT88

Twin turbo Sls AMG spits fire...

If it is the 8.4" rearend (I'm like 90% sure that it is) then it will bolt right up. Any reason you are opting for a locker over a Trutrac? They only accommodated for the tire size and intended use of each Tacoma by adjusting the ring and pinion size. For 2nd gen Tacomas: All V6's (except the x-runner) have 3.73's in the diff. All 6 lug 4 cyl's have 4.10's The 5 lug manuals have 3.31's and the autos have 3.58's (or something...- BradyT88

The 3rd member will have 3.73 gearing (assuming it's a V6) instead of 3.15 and should bolt right up unless that Pre-runner is a TRD Offroad. Yep! If one tire starts to spin the LSD will put power to the other tire. The Trutrac is very good at this too. No more one tire fires on takeoff. -

x2! It can work for any gear ratio. The gear ratio is determined by the ring and pinion not the LSD.
