3" blocks, no notch, BS bracket removed?
I tried 3" blocks in the rear for a while. I removed the bump stops and cut off the brackets but to be honest it drove like crap. Got nasty wheel hop and bottomed out quite easily with a few hundred pounds of tools in the back. Drives much better with the 2" blocks and dosn't bottom out at all...- TommyXrunner

getting on the freeway
Get rid of the flowmasters and put some straight through magnaflows on man. The supercharger dosn't like back pressure. No cats and straight through mufflers makes a lot more power and I have zero rasp with a 24" magnaflow and a vibrant ultra quiet resonator- TommyXrunner

Quiet(ish) exhaust options...
With my exhaust setup the supercharger whine is about equal in volume with the exhaust. I have no cats, 1 24" magnaflow muffler and 1 vibrant ultra quiet resonator. This setup has zero rasp as well and sounds incredible!- TommyXrunner

Just remember not every transmission has the same problems. My truck has never had problems shifting at redline in any gear other than going from 4th to 5th. Don't waste your money on a new transmission unless you actually have a serious problem- TommyXrunner

The supercharger didn't effect my mileage at all. The intake and exhaust made the mileage better. And as far as price goes it all depends where you're located. Where I'm located (in BC Canada) I would expect that truck to go between $14,000 and $16,000 at a local Toyota dealer. Less if private...- TommyXrunner

Another thing I noticed on the add your looking at is the poor mileage advertised. With the supercharger around 7 to 8 psi and full catless exhaust I average 20.2 mpg half city half highway driving :top:- TommyXrunner

The transmissions are the same on every year X-Runner. A lot of us have small problems with them (chirping throw out bearing and bad syncros making high rpm shifts difficult in certain gears) I haven't experienced the chirping throw out bearing yet but there is a fix for that. Calling all transmission issues on Xrunner
Seems like just about everyone has the 5th gear grind when shifting in higher rpms. Theres really nothing wrong with my transmission other than that 1 problem but it sure is annoying! I just completely avoid shifting into 5th anywhere over 3k and its fine- TommyXrunner

TRD Supercharged with URD 2.825 pulley
Yup! TRD Supercharged with 2.825 pulley. No cats. Doug Thorley long tube headers, URD Competition Y-Pipe, and URD MK2 catback with a 24" magnaflow and a vibrant ultraquiet resonator. For sure. I'll let you know as soon as its ready for you. Just need to find the right u-bolts for the rear suspension. Toyota dealer didn't know which bolts fit the X-Runner. I should be able to just measure them though- TommyXrunner

If you want your truck to be more enjoyable to ride start with an intake and a short shifter. Stock exhaust with an intake sounds really nice and gives a small gain with these trucks. I'll let you know as soon as I get around to swapping the suspension. I work in Vernon a lot. We can meet up there sometime after I've got all the parts off if you want. $200 for the full kit.
