    Re-Installing My Supercharger

That does look nice. I gained 2 psi of boost by removing the fins in the intake duct. I'm now removing my snorkel precleaner in favor of an angled snorkel air ram. I bet that will restore a psi at least.

    Re-Installing My Supercharger

Exactly, on your edit. I have the original fortuner hard plastic duct with fixed fins at the end, to make the air flow swirl into the filter. Do you think I should cut off those fins?

    Re-Installing My Supercharger

Unbelievable! The wire I put inside the duct got crushed with the squeezing of the supercharger suction. Looks like I'll go back to the Spectre flexible duct.

Then it will most likely clear the hood of a Prado as well.

Hi Gadget, will the Supercharger clear the hood of a 4Runner?

    Re-Installing My Supercharger

I recently faced a small problem with this Prado intake duct. When I push my motor to WOT, the supercharger sucks air so hard that it causes the duct to collapse at about 5000 RPM. This in turn chokes my engine and causes it to lose power suddenly. When it first happened, I was very confused...

    Re-Installing My Supercharger

I took your advice gadget, and managed to get ahold of the intake flexible duct of a V6 Prado. Wasn't difficult, as there are so many Prados around here with upgraded intake systems. I used a combination of Prado parts and fortuner parts and the result is astonishing. Now it has a factory look...

    Godzilla Awakens!

I can tell you one thing, a lot of Prado owners in the middle East will be very interested in one. The Prado is exactly the same as the 4Runner in packaging. I know a few who are eager to see it. But I really don't see the merit in making one for the Tacoma with the older generation 4.0 V6. The...

Exactly, which is why I went through all the trouble to get this air box. The power difference is very evident after installing it.

    Re-Installing My Supercharger

Finally I get my hand on a URD air filter housing from the MK3 kit! I've been looking for this intake for a long time, and finally I found that a friend of mine in Kuwait had the kit installed, and he went for an open pod filter instead of the URD intake housing. Now I've installed it, and I am...

    Re-Installing My Supercharger

Yes it is. Indeed that would be my last resort, but I try not to resort to it because it will be hard to find another place for the battery. Plus I would lose use of my snorkel, which would be a shame.

    Re-Installing My Supercharger

I'm making 15 PSI of boost! Yaaaay! I recently started noticing my boost dropping again, going down to 4-5 psi only. Not again! So I decided to try a new thing. I took the hood off, and installed a pod filter poking out of the engine bay and into fresh air for maximum airflow. Voila! 15 PSI of...

    Shane's URD MRKlll++ supercharger Build

Man, how do you manage to do those things to your truck? They can, but Rotrex doesn't recommend it. I've seen rebuild parts for the -81, but never seen someone selling -91/92 parts.

    Re-Installing My Supercharger

A few weeks ago my AEM 320 lph pump failed for some reason. It failed while I was on a road trip, and had to tow the truck back home. Really surprised it failed, given I only have about 50,000 km on it. I just ordered a 255 lph DeatschWerks pump from urd. I hope they are of good quality...

New TRD FJ install with UCON FLEX

It's doing great, he just gave me an update today, he's taking it dune-bashing without any trouble at all, and without deflating his tires. The thing as serious grunt now.

I think you misunderstood. I had a faulty sensor, which kept flooding my right bank cylinders when it got hot. The problem was solved when I replaced it.

    Re-Installing My Supercharger

I am glad to report that looks like my AFR sensor problem is fixed. Turns out just a faulty AFR sensor. Nothing to do with the harness. I'm very relieved my harness is ok. I haven't seen the problem show up again since I put back my old AFR sensor. Running correctly now in closed loop.
