Hey guys, I am looking at rims and I can't decide on 18'S or 20'S. My truck isn't lowered but i plan on doing it soon. I don't want to lose performance and i know bigger is not always better, but what are the pros and cons to each wheel size and are the differences really that significant?:dontknow:
Thanks for your help!

SIMPLY SAID GO LOW STAY LOW.BIG WHEELS PUT STRAIN ON OUR MOTORS,MORE SO THAN THE STOCK 18'S,ARE ALL AROUND MORE EXPENSIVE AND ULTIMATELY WILL GIVE YOU FITS WITH RUBBING ESPECIALLY IF YOU GO LOW AND GO BIG WITH WHEELS LIKE 20'S.:top: JUST THE FACTS SIRS.:top:

i have 20's and i dont have any power losses imo ...i weighed both the factory rim/tire and my 20" rim/tire and the 20's are lighter ...at the track i ran a 15.0 with the 20's which seems pretty good to me ...so i guess its just up to u ...but i wouldnt get aftermarket 18's i would just stick with the stockers if i wanted 18's

my speedo is correct because the 20's with 255/35 are the same height as stock ...and im only dropped 1.5/2 so i dont have any rubbing issues

IMO... i say go with 20's... just like morcheez said, with 255/35 its the same height as stock, so if your gonaa rub with them you will rub with 18's aswell.

you should use 35 tires not 45, I agree with Morcheez go with 20's and get the 35 tire, it looks better and has same speedometer reading. My 20s weight less than the stock 18s too.

if you use:
18 use 45 profile
19 use 40
20 use 35
21 and up just ride the rim lol

but when i use the 35s i have a hard ride, i feel every bump in the road, so i wanna get 19s so i can run 40s. plus i dont like my rims

and again if u are going to go 19's the tires are gonna cost a little bit more than 20" tires and i dont think its worth the extra inch and all the money ...stockers before 19's imo

i have 20's but im not sure of the tire size with the C2C drop kit and there is no rubbing. According to my local speed shop 20" tires are usually cheaper since most car makers are making 20" rims. Not many companys make 19" wheels. Plus the 20's look better!!!! :top:

it depends the the width too, on the rear i run a 30 series but the width is 295 and the tires have the same height. the second number(aspect ration) is a percentage of the first number (width).

Two questions: What is the weight of our stock wheel? Is there any downside with 19's besides cost?

26LBS LESS THE TIRE.ONLY DOWNSIDE I SEE TO 18'S AND 19'S IS AVAILABLE WIDE WIDTH RIMS IE:9-9.5" SURE THEY ARE THERE WHEN YOU GO 20" BUT GETS FEWER AND FEWER BACK TOWARDS STOCK 18'S :top:

I'd run an 18 in the front and get a deep dish 19" for the rear. No, rubbing, tires arent too bad, and it fills up that rear gap (not to mention it looks awesome)
