thinking about replace my worn tires with a set of v12. i would like to go to a bigger tire and was wondering what other people are running. 265/40 all around ? stay stock size (255/45) ? staggered wheel setup (265 rear 255 front) ? go bigger to a tire

ive seen a few discussions on here but never a poll so ive created one for not only me but future ppl that might ask the same or similar question

I run 275/40 on my wheel. But that's about as big as u can go with the stock size wheel. I need wider wheels. I wanna go 305/40 or 315/35 The wheel just ain't wide enought.

It looks like all the 265/40/18 tires recommend a 9" wide rim as a minimum, which makes me hesitant to buy them. The oroblem is, all of the good track day tires do not come in 255/45/18.

get a set of good 245's. I have the RE-11s and they are amazing compared to a lot of the other tires ive had. Putting a wide tire on a smaller rim will only decrease handling. And the 245s honestly have the same tread width against the pavement as most 255's. If you want wider tires you should look into wider rims but the quality of the tire will do a lot more for you.
